Terpenes A Closer Look At Terpineol is part of the discussion on the roll terpenes play in cannabis.

Terpineol is a terpene found in lime blossoms, eucalyptus sap, chamomile, St. John’s wort, tea tree oil, lemon, mandarin orange, basil, oregano, geranium, parsley, thyme, cloves. anise, gingers, laurel, lilacs, pine trees and some strains of cannabis.

Like many of the terpenes we have discussed, Terpineol acts as an anti inflammatory.

Terpineol has calming calming and relaxing effects, which is responsible for those same effects when enjoying chamomile tea.

Other Places You Find Terpineol

Terpineol is found in more then 150 plants, and is a commonly used scent in the fragrance industry.

Not only is it in perfumes but can also be found in many soaps, lotions and cosmetics as well as other skin care products because of it’s enticing aroma.

The commonality of Terpineol being present in many plants also means it is also widely used as a flavouring agent in my parts of the food industry. From chewing gum to beverages, Terpineol can be found in many foods and drink we consume.
